Expert Outreach Volunteer - Beth Centre
Friday 13th February 2015, Voluntary
The Beth Centre is looking for an expert outreach volunteer. Our approach recognises the stark reality of these women’s lives and the difficulty women working in prostitution have in engaging with services, the multiple barriers they face to safely exit prostitution, including fear of violence from ‘boyfriends’ or ‘pimps’, fear of judgement or arrest, substance dependency, poverty and debt.
The needs of these women are varied, so we would like volunteers with expertise in law / housing / social services / benefits / healthcare etc. Volunteers will be fully supported within this triage role.
