Women with no recourse to public funds / Sojourner
As of April 1st 2012, the “Sojourner” pilot project for women on spousal visas escaping domestic violence but with no recourse to public funds is no longer being administered by Eaves.
Support is still available for this group of women.
Women can apply directly by completing a short and simple form available on the UKBA website.
The website also has information about the process and contact details for violence against women support organisations who can advise or assist women in this process.
We are eager to hear partners’ views as to how they feel this new system is operating – both the positives and the negatives. If it is working well, we can capture the learning for best practice. If not, we need to identify and address problems.
